- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have a valid Colorado Driver's License
- No DUI/DWAI within the last three years
- No more than two moving violations within the last three years
- ie: speeding tickets, careless driving tickets, etc.
- Must pass a Colorado Bureau of Investigations (CBI) Background check with no felony convictions.
- Must not have a record in the Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS) database
- Must work a 2 1/2 day shift
At CARE, you can maintain 40 hours per week/full-time status in only 2 1/2 days per week. You'll work in a fulfilling and rewarding position providing support to adults with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities in a home environment. Our field is unique; our staff receive comprehensive initial and ongoing training, and our staff are appreciated.

This position is responsible for providing direct support and assistance to individuals with intellectual/ developmental disabilities.
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must possess basic math skills and basic computer literacy.
Valid Colorado driver's license, Driving Record from Colorado DMV showing no more than three incidents/ moving violations in the past 12 months, and no DUI/ DWAI within the past 36 months.
Ability to pass background checks as specified by Agency policies and/ or State rules and regulations.
Must be free of communicable diseases (ie: tuberculosis)
Successful completion of Core Training (Paid training, provided by C.A.R.E.)
Demonstrates ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
Understands and promotes this Agency’s mission and goals.
Able to maintain day-by-day operation without direct supervision.
Demonstrates ability to make good decisions on a regular basis and during crisis.
Completes assigned tasks within specified time period.
Provides input in team meetings, when brain-storming or problem-solving.
Initiates tasks and identifies areas requiring improvement.
Ensure provision of routine medical care to include: first aid, medication procurement, administration, routine exams, and appropriate documentation.
Follow programs as specified in the individual’s ISSP(s) and IP.
Assist with development and implementation of behavior and skill acquisition programs.
Follow all agency policies and procedures.
Maintain and enhance the individual’s quality of life.
Utilize the normalization philosophy while demonstrating nurturing skills with each individual.
Assist in housekeeping to maintain a healthy and sanitary environment.
Maintain facility vehicle to provide a clean, safe means of transportation.
Attend all meetings and in-services as scheduled.
Represent this Agency in a positive, professional manner in all interactions.

Salary: The Direct Support Profession is a non-exempt position. Hourly pay is $15.00 per hour
